Remembering the Accused Witches of Scotland (RAWS)
.
RAWS is a small but growing group of historians, social justice campaigners and community members who would like to raise awareness of the victims of the witch trials during the 16th - 18th centuries.
Throughout Scotland, the number of accusations per population was incredibly high: in Inverkip alone 35 people out of 200 - both male and female - were accused.
We are currently in the process of building our own website so in the meantime, more information about the aims of the group can be found through our Facebook page.
